Admins can hide tables from appearing in the sidebar for specific roles or for everyone.
Note
When a table is hidden from the sidebar, direct links to it (like a bookmark or saved URL) redirect you to the app dashboard.
Hide tables for specific roles
To hide a table from appearing on the sidebar for a specific role:
On the sidebar, select Users. Then select Manage roles.
In the Role column, select the role you want to hide the table from.
Go to the User Interface tab.
In the Hide in Table Bar column, check any table you wish to hide from that role.
When a table is hidden from a role, the table name link and Reports dropdown are disabled in the page bar of reports based on that table.
Hide tables for everyone
To hide tables from the sidebar in an app:
On the sidebar, select the 3-dot button next to the name of the table you want to hide.
Select All table settings > Advanced settings.
In the Advanced Table Settings section, uncheck Show in the table bar.
Select Save.
Prevent records from private tables from appearing in search results
In addition to hiding tables, you can prevent records from a table from appearing when users search your app. To do this, exempt the table from a Quickbase Find operation.
