Use Quickbase AI to generate a plain-language summary of an existing pipeline. AI Smart Builder reads the pipeline's steps and produces a description you can save, along with a per-step breakdown you can copy.
Summarize a pipeline
Summarize a pipeline from the My pipelines page or from inside an open pipeline.
On the My pipelines page, select the Summarize button in the Description column of the pipeline you want to summarize.
From an open pipeline, select Summarize next to the pipeline name.
AI Smart Builder then generates a summary based on the pipeline's steps and displays it in the Description field in the Basic Info panel. A per-step breakdown appears below the description.
Review the summary and the per-step breakdown before saving.
Save a summary as the pipeline description
To replace the existing pipeline description with an AI-generated summary:
Review and edit the summary in the Description field as needed.
Select Use as description.
Note
Saving the summary only keeps the description. Select Copy all to keep the per-step breakdown.
Copy the per-step breakdown
The per-step breakdown is not saved with the pipeline. To keep it, copy it before leaving the page.
In the Details panel under Description, select PER-STEP BREAKDOWN to expand it.
Select Copy all to copy every step's explanation to your clipboard. Then, paste the breakdown wherever you want to keep it (for example, in a step's notes or in a separate document).
About pipeline summary sessions
The pipeline summary is temporary. Refreshing or navigating away from the page clears the summary and the per-step breakdown.
To keep any part of it, take action before leaving the page. For example:
Save the summary as the description.
Select Copy all to keep the per-step breakdown.
