Acknowledgment Field

Prev Next

The Acknowledgment field asks users to confirm a statement before they submit the form. This article covers how to add an Acknowledgment field, write its statement, and change its button text.

How the Acknowledgment field works

An Acknowledgment field shows a statement and a button. Users tap the button to confirm they've read and agree to the statement. They can't submit the form until they do.

For example, a work order can ask technicians to confirm that they followed all safety procedures. After they tap I Agree, the button changes to Agreed.

Use the Acknowledgment field to confirm users have read things such as:

  • Safety procedures

  • Contracts and terms

  • Policies and guidelines

Add an Acknowledgment field

  1. In the Form Builder, select Add Fields in the side bar.

  2. Under Approvals, select Acknowledgment to add it after the selected field. You can also drag it onto the canvas where you want it.

The field appears on the canvas as Acknowledgment Field, and its field settings open on the General tab.

Write the statement and button text

  1. In Field Label, enter the name users see, for example Safety Acknowledgment.

  2. In Acknowledgment Text, enter the statement users agree to.

  3. In Button Text Before Click, enter the text users tap. The default is I Agree.

  4. In Button Text After Click, enter the text that shows after users tap the button. The default is Thank You.

Note

An Acknowledgment field is always required. You can't turn off Required Field or hide the field.

Set up the field with the Assistant

You can also ask the Assistant to add an Acknowledgment field with its statement and button text.

  1. Select Assistant in the side bar.

  2. Describe what you want, for example Add an acknowledgment called Safety Acknowledgment after Description that says I confirm that I followed all safety procedures, with the button text I Agree.

  3. Send the message.

The Assistant sets the label, the statement, and the button text. Check where it placed the field, and drag it to a new position if needed.

Note

Assistant changes aren't saved until you select Save Draft.
