Extension tiles

Available to: all roles.

Select Browse Extensions in the left menu to see a tile for each extension your company subscribes to.

  • Only extensions with a status of Active, Trial, or Deactivated get a tile. Extensions you don't subscribe to don't appear.

  • An extension at Limit Reached appears on My Extensions, but not here.

  • Tiles are grouped by category, such as document creation or electronic signatures.

What a tile shows

  • Status, at the top of the tile:

    • Active in green.

    • Trial in amber.

    • Deactivated in red.

  • The extension's icon and name. Select either one to open the extension's page.

  • NEW ribbon (blue, top left): marks a newly released extension.

  • Blue border: the extension is included in your Quickbase package.

  • Two buttons below the tile: Info and Setup.

Info

Select Info to open a window about the extension. It shows:

  • The extension's name and a short description.

  • Category and Current Version.

  • A Documentation link to the extension's help pages.

  • Tabs for Features, Key Benefits, Common Use Cases, and Additional Details.

  • Extensions commonly used with this one, if there are any.

  • Launch Setup Wizard, which opens the setup wizard. If your extensions come from a Quickbase package, this button is available only while the extension is Active.

Setup

Select Setup to open the extension's setup wizard.

  • If your extensions come from a Quickbase package, Setup is available only while the extension is Active or Trial.

  • Otherwise, Setup is available for every status.

Find an extension

  • Card or list view: use the two view icons at the top right of the page.

    • Card view shows tiles.

    • List view shows one tab per category.

  • Filter:

    1. Select Filter.

    2. Enter one or more keywords, separated by commas, and select Search. Extensions whose keywords match any of yours stay on the page.

    3. Select Reset to show all your extensions again.

The setup wizard

The setup wizard installs an extension in one of your Quickbase apps. You choose the app and table, and the wizard creates the fields and tables the extension needs. Some extensions need more configuration afterward to work the way you want.

You can open the wizard from:

  • Setup on an extension's tile.

  • Launch Setup Wizard in the extension's Info window.

  • Authorize New App or Setup Table on the extension's page.

See Installation wizard.

An extension's page

Available to: all roles.

To open an extension's page, select its tile in Browse Extensions, or select Open next to the extension on My Extensions.

  • The extension's icon and name.

  • Documentation: opens the extension's help pages in a new tab.

  • JuicedSign Account Settings (JuicedSign only): opens JuicedSign Account Management, which has two tabs:

    • Settings: email, reminder, and expiration defaults.

    • Users: the people who can send agreements.

Extension-specific panels

Some extensions show an extra panel at the top of the page:

  • QB Courier:

    • Configurations, with counts of Scheduled, On Demand, and Trigger configurations.

    • The total number of Mail Servers and Email Message SubTables.

    • Select Configurations, Mail Servers, or Email Message SubTables to open that part of the Courier configurator. See Courier Configurator overview.

  • Text My QB: the Text My QB Configuration button opens your Text My QB configuration. The panel also shows the number of Authorized Apps.

Authorized Applications

The number next to the heading is how many Quickbase apps are set up to use the extension. The table lists them, most recently active first:

Column

What it shows

Application DBID

The app's ID in Quickbase.

Application Name

The app's name.

Current Month's Activity

How many times the extension ran in this app this month.

Last Activity Date

When the extension last ran in this app.

Action

Setup Table: set up the extension in another table of this app.

  • To set up the extension in a new app, select Authorize New App. Do this when you copy an app, because the copy is a new app and must be set up again.

  • If no apps are set up yet, the table reads Select Authorize new app to use this extension with a Quickbase app.

Activities

  • A bar chart of the last 13 months of activity, including the current month.

  • Each month is split into Process Count (web runs) and Batch Activity (batch runs). Months with no activity show as zero.
