What is the Courier Configurator?
Available to: all roles, when your company has the QB Courier extension.
The Courier Configurator is where you set up and manage the emails QB Courier sends from your Quickbase apps. You open it from the Extensions Portal. Anyone who can see the QB Courier tile in Browse Extensions can open and use it.
It has three sections:

Courier Configurations | Create, edit, duplicate, and test the configurations that tell Courier what to send, to whom, and when. Run On Demand configurations and see each configuration's activity. |
Mail Servers | Optional. Add your own mail server (SMTP, Gmail, or Office 365), so emails come from your own address instead of Courier's shared sender. |
Email Message Subtables | Create reusable tables of related records that you can add to any Courier email. |

Open the Courier Configurator
Sign in to the Extensions Portal and select your company.
Open the QB Courier extension's page: select its tile in Browse Extensions, or select Open next to it on My Extensions.
At the top of the page, select one of the three buttons. Each opens the configurator at a different section:

The configurator opens in a window inside the portal. See also Extension tiles and pages.
Move between sections
The configurator has no side menu. Use the buttons at the top of each list:
Courier Configurations list: Mail Servers and Email Message Subtables.
Mail Server List: Courier Configurations and Email Message Subtables.
Email Subtable list: Courier Configurations and Mail Servers.
If you leave the Configuration, Email Options, Email Message, or Email Attachments tab with unsaved changes, your browser asks Discard changes? Select Cancel to stay on the tab and save your work.
Close the Courier Configurator
Select the X at the top right of the window. Clicking outside the window or pressing Esc doesn't close it.
When you open it again, it starts fresh at the section you choose. Save your changes before you close it.
If the configurator doesn't open
The portal shows one of these messages:
We were unable to determine which company you are working with. Select your company from the COMPANY dropdown at the top of the portal, then try again.
Invalid response from server., Unable to send token to Courier app., or There was a problem showing the Courier configurations. Close the window and select the button again.
If a list is empty when you expect items in it, close the window and open it again. If the problem continues, open a Quickbase technical support case.
