After the standard Authorization and Application information steps, the wizard shows the EZ File Importer Setup step. The wizard page is titled EZ File Importer Set-up. The steps on the left are Authorization, Application Information, EZ File Importer Setup (this step), and Finish.
Before this step: one setup per app
You set up EZ File Importer once per app. If the app you chose on Application information already has EZ File Importer tables, the wizard stops there and shows:
We have noticed that the Application you have selected already has the tables related to EZ File Importer. Please make sure that you are selecting the correct application.
If you're sure the app doesn't have EZ File Importer set up, submit a Quickbase technical support case.
To add more imports to an app that already has EZ File Importer, add records to its tables instead of running the wizard again.
The EZ File Importer Setup step
This step is information only: there's nothing to enter or choose. The wizard only adds the tables and fields EZ File Importer needs. What you import, and how, depends on your app, so you set that up yourself afterward.
The step shows:
The heading You're not done! Read the Following Before Proceeding
This Wizard will create the following tables for EZ File Importer: followed by the five tables: Configuration Groups, Import Files, Import Configurations, Field Mappings, and Import Run Details. The table this screen calls Import Files is created with the name File Imports.
These are all required to run EZ File Importer. To understand how these will work, please visit followed by an Our Help Site. link. The setup steps are now in EZ File Importer setup.
Select Finish to install EZ File Importer. Select Previous to go back to Application information.
