Add Users to a Realm

This topic refers to functionality that is only available to accounts on the Business-level or above plans. If you do not see the functionality described here, either your account or realm has not been configured to show it, or your account is not on one of those plans.

There are two ways to add a user to your realm:

  • You can actively add users to your realm; or

  • Allow application managers to add users to their applications. Those new users will automatically display on the Users page. Alternatively, you can restrict application managers from adding users by applying approval-only access restrictions to an application. Once you've added the user to your realm directory with the appropriate approval level, those restricted app managers then can add a user to their application.

To add a user to your realm:
  1. On the My Apps page, click Manage name_of_realm, then click Users.

  2. Click +New User at the upper-right to add a user.

  3. Enter the first name, last name, and email address.

  4. Click Save.

Note: Only new users can be added on this page. If you want to add an existing Quickbase user to the realm, add them to an app in the realm.
