The Video field lets users record a video or upload one from their device. This article covers how to add a Video field, choose where videos come from, and configure its settings.
How the Video field works
A Video field captures a short clip and uploads it with the submission. Users can record with the device's camera or pick a video from the device's photo library. You choose which of these to allow.
Video is useful when a photo isn't enough. For example, a technician can record a walkthrough of a job site or show a safety issue as it happens.

You can also set the video quality and the maximum length. Higher quality creates bigger files, so submissions take longer to upload.
Add a Video field
In the Form Builder, select Add Fields in the side bar.
Under Multimedia, select Video to add it after the selected field. You can also drag it onto the canvas where you want it.

The field appears on the canvas as Video Field, and its field settings open on the General tab.

Set up video capture
In Field Label, enter the name users see, for example Site Walkthrough.
Under Video Settings, turn on Allow Camera to let users record with the camera. Turn on Allow Photo Library to let them upload a saved video.
Select a Quality: Normal, Medium, or High. The default is Normal.
In Maximum Length (seconds), enter the longest video you allow. A new field starts at 20 seconds.

Note
Videos can be up to 1,800 seconds (30 minutes) and 500 MB.

Use the General, Behavior, and Appearance tabs in Field Settings to control how the field works.

Set up the field with the Assistant
You can also ask the Assistant to add a Video field or change its settings.
Select Assistant in the side bar.
Describe what you want, for example Add a Video field called Site Walkthrough after Description with a maximum length of 60 seconds.
Send the message.

The Assistant can add the field, set the maximum length, and make the field required. Select the Quality in Field Settings after the Assistant adds the field.
Note
Assistant changes aren't saved until you select Save Draft.
