About the Courier Configurations list
Available to: all roles, when your company has the QB Courier extension.
The Courier Configurations list shows the configurations for your company. It opens when you select Configurations on the QB Courier extension's page. See Courier Configurator overview.
Depending on your account's settings, you might see only the configurations you created.
What's on the page
Header buttons: Mail Servers and Email Message Subtables take you to those sections.
Search box (Search by id or configuration name...):
Type part of a configuration's name, or its exact ID. Name search is case-sensitive.
The search always covers all configurations, whatever the Status filter is set to.
Status filter: shows only Enabled, Disabled, or Test Mode configurations.
Add new Courier configuration: creates a configuration. See Create or edit a configuration.
Authorize New Application: sets up a Quickbase app so you can use it in configurations. See Authorize a new application.
Configurations are grouped by Quickbase app. Select the arrow next to an app's name to expand or collapse its group. Use the page controls at the bottom to move through the list.

Actions on a configuration
The Operations column has these icons:
Icon | Tooltip | What it does |
|---|---|---|
List | Activities | Opens the configuration's run history. See Configuration activities. |
Eye | View Configuration | Opens the configuration's tabs read-only. |
Pencil | Edit Configuration | Opens the configuration's tabs so you can make changes. |
Copy | Duplicate Configuration | Makes a copy of the configuration. See Duplicate a configuration. |
Duplicate a configuration
Select Duplicate Configuration on the configuration's row.
In Configuration Copy Confirmation, select Yes.
The copy appears in the list as Copy of - name(Config ID: id), with Status Disabled, so it won't send anything until you're ready.
Some settings aren't copied:
The configuration's limits.
The local activity log settings and the Courier error email addresses on the Finish tab.
I acknowledge these emails may send outside Quickbase on the Email Options tab.
Before you enable the copy, open it with Edit Configuration and check every tab, especially Email Attachments and Finish.
Run an On Demand configuration (Execute Now)
Execute Now appears at the end of the row for On Demand configurations only.
Select Execute Now.
In CONFIRM (All the records from the selected reports will be processed. Do you want to execute this configuration?), select Yes.
What happens depends on the configuration's Status:
Enabled: Courier emails every record in the configuration's report.
Test Mode: Courier sends one sample email, from the first record, to the configuration's Copy email address.
Execute Now is hidden while the run is in progress, and comes back when the run is finished. To see the result, open Activities.
Stop a configuration from sending
Open the configuration with Edit Configuration.
On the Configuration tab, set Status to Disabled, and save.
Courier skips disabled configurations in every processing mode: Scheduled runs, Execute Now, Trigger requests, and tests. For a Trigger configuration, also turn off or delete the email notification in your Quickbase app, so it stops sending requests to Courier.
Authorize a new application
Before you can pick a Quickbase app in a configuration, the app must be authorized for QB Courier. Do this for a new app, or for a copy of an app that already uses Courier, because the copy is a new app.
Select Authorize New Application. You can also use the Authorize New Application link on a configuration's Configuration tab.
The installation wizard opens in a window. Follow its steps to authorize the app. See Installation wizard.
Close the window with the X.
Close and reopen the Courier Configurator, so the new app appears in the QuickBase Application list.
