Two-step authentication

Prev Next

Two-step authentication adds another layer of protection to your Quickbase account. It helps prevent unauthorized access, even if someone knows your password.

With two-step authentication, you sign in using two forms of identification:

  • Your username and password

  • A security code provided via email

When you enter your user name and password, Quickbase sends a verification code to your registered email. Copy and paste the code into the prompt to complete sign-in.

Who enables two-step authentication?

If your organization requires two-step authentication, your account or realm admin enables it in your realm’s security settings.

Security benefit

Two-step authentication ensures that only you can access your Quickbase account. This feature replaces security questions and uses your password plus a 6-digit verification code to confirm your identity and protect your data.

Who can use two-step authentication?

All Quickbase users can use two-step authentication except users who sign in through Single Sign-On (SSO) with SAML. Those users rely on the multi-factor authentication method provided by their identity provider, which authenticates them before granting access to Quickbase.
