Before you send
JuicedSign is set up on your table. See Set up JuicedSign.
The record has the document to send, a PDF or Word (.docx) file up to 20 MB, in the file field the wizard set up. File names can't contain these characters:
: & = + # @ ? % ! $ ' * , ;The document's template has tags for every signer. See Document tags.
The record has each recipient's name and email address.
JuicedSign Sender Email is one of your senders, or empty to use your default sender. See Account settings and senders.
Send the agreement
On the record, select Send to JuicedSign. The Create JuicedSign Agreement window opens.
JuicedSign checks the document, recipients, tags, and sender. If something is wrong, the window shows a message instead of the agreement details. See Common messages.
Review the JuicedSign Agreement Details:
The subject, the document, the reminder and expiration days, and the sender.
The Recipients list, with each recipient's Name, Email, Order, Action, and Captive Recipient.
Select Send to JuicedSign.
What happens next:
The window confirms that the agreement was created and shows its agreement ID.
JuicedSign adds a JuicedSign Management record and a JuicedSign Recipients record for each recipient, and emails the first recipient.
If the first signer signs in person, the signing page opens in the same window instead. See In-person signer.
To follow the agreement, open its JuicedSign Management record. See JuicedSign tables and fields.
Recipients
The Recipient String field on your table lists the agreement's recipients. The wizard builds it from the signer name and email fields you chose. Each recipient has seven parts, separated by colons. Recipients are separated by |:
Recipient ID:Recipient Name:Recipient Email:Signing Order:Action:Access Code:Captive Recipient
Part | What to enter |
|---|---|
Recipient ID | A whole number: 1, 2, 3, and so on. It must match the Recipient ID on that recipient's tags. |
Recipient Name, Recipient Email | Usually fields on your record. |
Signing Order | A whole number. Recipients act in this order, one at a time. |
Action |
|
Access Code | Optional. A code the recipient must enter before opening the agreement. Leave it empty for no code. See Access codes. |
Captive Recipient |
|
For example, two signers, where the second has an access code:
"1:" & [Customer Name] & ":" & [Customer Email] & ":1:Signer::false" &
"|2:" & [Manager Name] & ":" & [Manager Email] & ":2:Signer:" & [Manager Code] & ":false"
Rules:
Only one signer per signing order. Give each signer a different order number.
Every recipient, except Receive a Copy, needs at least one required signature, initials, or Approve or Decline tag.
Every email address is checked. JuicedSign won't send to an address that isn't valid, or to someone who has unsubscribed from JuicedSign emails. See Unsubscribe and resubscribe.
To send to more recipients than the wizard set up, add their name and email fields to your table, add them to the Recipient String, and add their tags to the template.
In-person signer
Set Captive Recipient to
truefor someone who signs right away, with you. After you select Send to JuicedSign, the signing page opens in the same window. No email is sent to them.Only the first signer, the one with the lowest signing order, can sign in person.
To reopen signing for them later, select Captive Recipient Signing on their JuicedSign Recipients record.
Agreements created automatically (batch) can't have an in-person signer.
Preview an agreement
Use Preview Agreement to check where each recipient's tags land on the document, before you send anything.
On the record, select Preview Agreement. JuicedSign runs the same checks as when you send.
In Select a recipient, pick a signer. Each one is shown as name and signing order.
The document opens in preview mode, with that recipient's tags. Nothing can be filled in, and nothing is sent.
To change a tag, edit it in the Tags Configurator or in JuicedSign Recipient Tags, then preview again.
Choose how recipients sign
When a recipient adopts their signature, they can pick a style (their name in a signature font) or draw it. You can limit this per recipient with the draw and font values in your Send to JuicedSign button:
Value | Meaning |
|---|---|
| All recipients can use this option. This is the default. |
| No recipient can use this option. |
Recipient IDs, for example | Only these recipients can use this option. |
For example,
draw=Xmeans recipients must pick a style.drawandfontcan't both beX.Initials are always a style, never drawn.
See Send to JuicedSign button parameters.
