Manage all of your extensions from one central web portal

The Extensions Portal is where you set up, authorize, and monitor the Quickbase Extensions your company subscribes to. From one place you can:

  • See which extensions you have and which Quickbase apps use them.

  • Run an extension's setup wizard.

  • Track usage and activity for each extension.

  • Manage who in your company can access the portal.

What you see in the portal depends on your role. Each section below lists the roles that can use it.

Roles

You have a role for each company you belong to: Client Admin, Admin, User, or QSP admin. See Roles, users, and permissions for what each role can do.

Sign in to the Extensions Portal

  1. Go to the Extensions Portal for your region:

  2. Choose how to sign in:

    • Sign in with Quickbase (recommended). You sign in to Quickbase, and Quickbase sends you back to the portal. You don't need a separate portal password.

    • Email and password. Enter your email address or username and your password, then select Login.

  3. If you belong to more than one company, the Select a Company window opens. Search by company name or realm (at least 3 characters), and select the company you want to work with. To switch companies later, use the COMPANY dropdown at the top of the page.

Things to know:

  • You can only sign in after someone invites you. When your company subscribes to Quickbase Extensions, your main contact is set up as the Client Admin and gets an invitation from notify@quickbase.com. The Client Admin, or an Admin, then invites everyone else. Use Sign in with Quickbase with the same email address the invitation was sent to.

  • Your session ends after 20 minutes without activity, and you'll need to sign in again.

  • After your subscription changes, sign out and back in to see the change.

  • If a page looks broken after an update (for example, the company list is empty or buttons do nothing), do a hard refresh (Ctrl+F5) or clear your browser cache.

  • Can't sign in, or can't see a company or page? See Extensions Portal messages and troubleshooting.

What can you do in the Extensions Portal?

My Extensions

Available to: all roles.

The home page after you sign in. It has two tabs:

  • Extensions: each extension your company has, with its status (Active, Trial, Deactivated, or Limit Reached) and, for trials, the trial end date.

  • Authorized apps: the Quickbase apps set up to use your extensions. Each app shows its name, its app ID (DBID), the extensions authorized for it, and a link to open the app.

The page also shows your subscription information, such as subscription frequency and renewal date.

Browse Extensions

Available to: all roles.

  • Shows a tile for each extension your company subscribes to that is Active, Trial, or Deactivated.

    • An extension at Limit Reached appears on My Extensions but not here.

    • Tiles for extensions that are part of a Quickbase package have a blue border.

    • A NEW ribbon marks newly released extensions.

  • Select Info on a tile to read about the extension.

  • Select Setup to open the extension's setup wizard.

    • If your extensions come from a Quickbase package, Setup is available only while the extension is Active or Trial.

    • Otherwise, Setup is available for every status.

See Extension tiles and pages.

An extension's page

Available to: all roles.

Open an extension to see:

From this page you can:

  • Authorize a new app to use the extension: select Authorize New App. Do this when you copy an app, because the copy is a new app and must be set up again.

  • Set up another table in an app that already uses the extension: select Setup Table on the app's row.

Both open the setup wizard. See An extension's page.

Users

Available to: Client Admin, Admin, QSP admin.

Invite people to the portal, change their role, re-send an invitation, or remove someone. You can also filter and export the list. See Roles, users, and permissions.

Client Credentials

Available to: Client Admin.

Replace the Quickbase user token your extensions run with, for example after the token was deleted or regenerated in Quickbase. You can also update saved Amazon S3 and DocuSign credentials. See Client Credentials.

Support

If you see Support in the left menu, it's because you have legacy support tickets from our previous ticketing system. See Legacy support tickets.

To get help, open a Quickbase technical support case.
