What JuicedSign does
JuicedSign is an electronic signature and approval service built for Quickbase.
You send a document from a record in your app. Your recipients review it and sign or approve it in their browser. JuicedSign saves the signed document, and the data recipients entered, back to that record.
Each send creates an agreement: one document, its recipients, and the tags that show each recipient where to sign or what to fill in.
How an agreement works
Set up once. The installation wizard adds the JuicedSign tables, fields, and buttons to your app. Then you place tags on your document template, with the Tags Configurator or with anchor text. See Set up JuicedSign.
Send. On a record, select Send to JuicedSign. JuicedSign checks the document, recipients, and tags, then creates the agreement with the status Created.
Deliver. JuicedSign emails the first recipient in the signing order, and the agreement becomes Delivered.
Sign. The recipient opens the link, agrees to use electronic signatures, fills in their tags, and signs or approves. JuicedSign then emails the next recipient.
Complete. When every recipient has finished, the agreement is Completed:
The signed document and the certificate of completion are saved to your record.
Every recipient gets an email with the signed document.
Values recipients typed into tags are saved to the fields you chose.
An agreement can also end before it's completed. See Agreement statuses.
Recipients
Recipient | What they do |
|---|---|
Signer | Signs or initials the document and fills in their tags. |
Approver | A recipient whose tag is Approve or Decline. They approve or decline without a signature being added to the document, and they don't appear on the certificate of completion. Use it for internal approvals that later recipients don't need to see, for example a manager approving a quote over $100 before it goes to the customer. If they decline, they must give a reason. |
Receive a Copy | Gets a copy of the document and doesn't need to do anything. |
In-person (captive) signer | Signs right away, in the same window, after you select Send to JuicedSign. No email is sent. Only the first signer can sign in person. |
Recipients act one at a time, in signing order. Each order number can have only one signer.
You can require a recipient to enter an access code before they can open the agreement. See Access codes.
For every recipient, JuicedSign records when the agreement was delivered, opened, and signed, and the IP address and device used.
What you can send
One document per agreement: a PDF, or a Word document (.docx), which JuicedSign converts to PDF.
Up to 20 MB.
The document can come from a file attachment field, Amazon S3, or Dropbox. The signed copy can be saved to any of these.
Agreement statuses
Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
Created | The agreement was created and is about to be emailed. |
Delivered | It was emailed to the current recipient. |
Completed | Every recipient finished. |
Declined | A recipient declined. Their reason is saved in your JuicedSign Recipients table. |
Voided | The sender voided it, or a recipient chose Print & Sign. Print & Sign means the recipient signs on paper, outside JuicedSign, so JuicedSign can no longer verify the document. |
Expired | The expiration date passed before everyone finished. |
Each recipient also has a status: Delivered, Opened, Completed, Declined, or Printed to Sign. See JuicedSign tables and fields.
